TV Segment: Saving Money on School Supplies

August 9, 2017 by 33 Comments

This morning, I was invited up to Bowling Green to appear on WBKO, the ABC-affiliated television station for South Central Kentucky. I was asked to share money saving tips for back-to-school shopping.

The segment was a blast, and the folks at WBKO were very welcoming. The video is embedded below.

(Whenever I have some kind if accomplishment, large or small, and I tell my Dad, he says, "Congratulations!".)
So I am certain that you deserve a big "Congratulations!".

I've never seen a TV spot where they only introduced a person by their first name. Did you ask them to do that? Or are you as famous as Cher and Oprah, and only go by one name? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'm secretly hoping to be as famous as Cher and Opera one day. Lol, totally kidding about that. ๐Ÿ™‚

I kept waiting for the chyron to flash who this was, but it didn't. Strange that they didn't really fully introduce you.

great job ellie. good tips too. i passed on my son's backpack to my daughter by decorating it with her. it was solid black with primary colors piping so we used those colors to paint butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs, etc on it. instant girl backpack & no one had one like it. plus, we did it together. she was so proud of it!
