On our trip through the Canadian Rocky Mountains, we hiked 32.3 miles in 20.5 hours and gained a total elevation of 9,284 feet. I always had my iPhone camera handy to capture all the beautiful scenery. While we walked, I made a point of taking pictures of the many types of flowers we encountered. Can you name any of them? Which are your favorites? Mine is No. 8.

Ooh pretty! I like them all and I cant decide which ones I like best. However you have given me ideas on coloring the flowers in my adult coloring book.๐

Thanks, Regina! Are you a hobby artist?

Ellie,
I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this. I'm not an artist at all but coloring books I find relaxing. I'm more of a hobby crocheter. Crocheting is relaxing too!

Maybe there's a calendar in your future!
nashvillewife@gmail.com
That would be a great idea. ๐

Number 7 is a columbine, 14 is a wild rose, 12 looks almost like a trillium, except that it has 4 petals instead of 3.
I wish I knew what the others are. Your photos are beautiful.

Thanks for sharing your flower expertise. Have a wonderful day!

Hey Ellie! This is off topic, but I've seen you mention oils in a couple of your posts, and was wondering what brand you use?
nashvillewife@gmail.com
Hi there,
I'm not as into essential oils as some people are, but I do have several. Most of them are doterra.
Do you use essential oils?
Ellie

My family had some doterra samples when we first tried oils, then we tried Young Living and we have been using their oils for the last 2 years. I love them!
nashvillewife@gmail.com
I have heard good things about Young Living. What do you and your family use essential oils for?

We had started to use them to help manage allergies, and now we use them in all kinds of things, like cooking, DIY recipes, etc.
nashvillewife@gmail.com
Very neat. Are you able to manage seasonal allergies with essential oils? I would love to hear about that.

My family has had great success with them. Because of the way the oils support your digestive, respiratory, and immune system, I have been able to get off of my seasonal allergy medicine.

#14 is actually the "Alberta wild rose" our official provincial flower
nashvillewife@gmail.com
Thanks for sharing! I knew the wild rose was the provincial flower, but I didn't know what it looked like. Glad you mentioned that. ๐
