I doubt any of you have eaten a big plate of spaghetti and thought, “You know, this just needs some more carbs.” But apparently that’s what Mr. Handsome thought the other night.
He initially got the idea while watching a football game featuring the Detroit Lions. During a commercial break, they showed a video of a restaurant called Mom’s Spaghetti, where they serve this culinary masterpiece. Interestingly, the restaurant is owned by the rapper Eminem.
Now this may be a shock to you, but Mr. Handsome and I don’t listen to a lot of Eminem music. However, Mr. Handsome thought this sandwich looked tasty. I made the spaghetti, and he used the cast iron to sear the bread to make the sandwich. I personally am happy with spaghetti in its traditional form and did not try this new creation, by Mr. Handsome is very excited about it and says it is delicious. Would you try Mr. Handsome’s Spaghetti Sandwich?

I could eat spaghetti
I could eat bread
I couldn’t eat them in the same mouthful no thanks

But did he use garlic bread? Cause I would totally eat it if it was with garlic bread.
Ellie
He used Texas toast, but garlic bread would have been really good too!

Actually I would! It looks really tasty but I would want a green salad to go with it. Your husband’s is more appealing looking than the restaurant’s version.

Yuck! No way!

We love spaghetti squash instead of regular spaghetti noodles with meat sauce. It’s a nice carb free option version.
Jane
Sorry Mr, Handsome, I would not try your spaghetti sandwich. The only way to eat spaghetti is with a fork.

I’ve actually eaten spaghetti bread. The bread was split in two and stuffed with spaghetti mixed with sauce. It’s like having the garlic bread and spaghetti all at the same time. I think there was a name for it but can’t remember it.

It looks very tasty!! I don’t think that I wouldn’t eat it based on carbs but it just looks like it might be hard to eat haha but if it didn’t fall apart I would eat it! As kids my oldest sister would fold her (untoasted) bread and put her spaghetti in it. That’s what this reminded me of! I tried that back then but the bread would get too soggy for my liking, but toasting the bread looks delicious!

Did you see the eclipse? If so, what did you think?
Ellie
We did! It was cool although not as cool as it was in 2017 when we saw the total eclipse. Did you see it?
Dawn
I saw nothing in MN….too cloudy so I had to watch on tv!

I don’t know if I would like the spaghetti and the bread together in a sandwich like that. Probably not, but for some reason I am never satisfied having pasta unless there is some kind of bread or roll on the side lol.
Emily
Actually, absolutely, 1000%, yes!!!
May you please post the recipe? I’m curious about the spaghetti sauce, too!
I miss your recipe posts!

I actually do this with garlic bread, when we have spaghetti. I’ve done it since I was little. My Mon says that I take after her dad because he did it too. I never thought it was odd
Eileen
No thankyou. I don’t like bread!

It’d be better on garlic bread.
