Pregnancy Announcement

October 14, 2021 by 46 Comments

In case you missed our pregnancy announcement, Mr. Handsome and I are indeed expecting a baby! We are beyond thrilled and are incredibly grateful to God for this gift. After experiencing two miscarriages in 2020, we do not take this little life for granted.

Losing two babies has brought us closer to the Lord and has clearly shown us that the only way to make it through the uncertainties of life is to lean on Him. We have always loved and cherished Little Buddy, but after two miscarriages, we see him as even more of a miracle than we did before.

Our baby is due in a few months, and we look forward to announcing the gender soon!

I pray for a healthy mom and babyπŸ’—πŸ’™πŸ™. As a mom of 4 boys, it is fun to guess. I think you are having a little boyπŸ’™. Either way- daughter or son….a blessing.
I know you protect Little Buddy’s privacy- will you all use a name theme? Unintentionally, all 4 of are boys first names end in ( an/in)😊.

Thank you, Jennifer! That’s fun to have a theme. We really struggle to find names that we like though, so I think a theme would make it pretty much impossible, LOL

Justine she can probably only take Mr. Handsome in with her for the Birth. Due to covid. Most hospital and birthd center will only allow 1 person in their at a time.

Everything has gone great. I have 1 girl and 6 boys in a row. After a certain number, it’s easier to transition. The hardest thing was my then youngest was still nursing and co-sleeping. But after a few weeks, he slept in his bed and no longer wanted to nurse.
Having two children will be fun. It’s special watching the bonds and laughter they share.

My oldest boy just turned 10, (My daughter is 11.) I should be an expert by now. πŸ˜€ But every child is different, and they’ve all had different challenges. Some days, I don’t know what I’m doing.
That’s the beautiful thing about life, it doesn’t have to be perfect. And we grow as parents as we raise our children. And God equips us to raise our children for Him.
If I remember correctly, my 2 year old was born a few weeks after your son. His birthday is in February.
It’s a fun age. My 2 year old is more into my baby now than he was during the newborn stage. My 2 year old makes my baby laugh all of the time. It’s so sweet.

He’s doing better than I feared, but it’s up and down. Sometimes very sweet towards baby, and sometimes jealous – like wanting any object the baby has, or getting a bit frustrated that he doesn’t have all our attention now. We’re trying hard to mitigate that! There was a little bit of attempted hitting earlier, but not recently. And we don’t leave them alone together yet! πŸ™‚
Not sure if it’s helped a little reading stories about a new sibling (e.g. ‘Jenny’s New Brother’).
I’m hopeful that they’ll be great friends as they grow!
