Last month, we spent a few hours on a Saturday walking around a private peony garden near where my in-laws live. Little Buddy loves being outdoors (he takes after Mr. Handsome), and he enjoyed looking at all the colorful flowers (or at least we think he enjoyed it). And I absolutely adore the smell of peonies! It’s so sad that they are only around for such a short time each year.
Below are a few photos of the peony garden. I am also including three pictures of uniquely colored roses. My brother took them when he visited the International Rose Test Garden in Portland, Oregon, a few weeks ago.

That is a sweet picture of Ellie smelling the flower!
Little Buddy must be blessed to be taken into such a beautiful place, full of all the sensations of a lush flower garden in bloom on a sunny, summer day! Keep keeping on the sunny side if life.
I think, since the garden of Eden, people do have an intimate knowledge of good and evil. So we have to willfully choose to focus on and continually keep choosing to dwell in all that is truly good… Gods kingdom COME, Gods will be done on earth as it is in HEAVEN! (Just because the enemy draws near with suggestions of all kinds of nasty stuff, we do not have to accept it into our hearts or agree with it). It is beautiful seeing you living in LOVE and in full agrement with what is good, right, true and dwelling on those things! THIS IS SUCH A GOOD REPORT! Thank-you!
Ellie
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the photos. ๐

Hi Ellie, Thank you for the pictures of the peonies and thank your brother for the pictures of the roses. I think it’s nice when we get to hear something about your brother. My husband has five rose bushes. I took a picture of a 4 shades of pink rose after a rain shower and it was beautiful.
Ellie
You are very welcome. How lovely your yard must be!

The Rose Garden in Portland is beautiful! I was there in late summer, which isn’t even peak, and it was gorgeous. I actually have one close to home in Rochester, NY that is pretty impressive itself. I’ve gone a couple times and taken some beautiful pictures. It’s amazing how many different varieties there are–not just colors, but the general appearance, as well.
Ellie
That’s fun that you have visited. I would love to go sometime. How far is Rochester from NYC?

Looks like a sunshine and fresh air opportunity for the baby. Check out this video link, about cages that attached to windows for babies. This was done in the USA too, cause I saw another video on vox.

Did you ever see that before, what dfo you think of it?
I think it looks very scary, how could anyone trust that contraption? A stroll in the park may not be convenient, but it doesn’t all fall down baby and all.
Ellie
That’s bizarre but very interesting. ! I agree, I wouldn’t trust it. Enjoyed the old footage though!

Those peonies are so beautiful and so large. Itโs a great picture of you, Ellie. Iโve always wondered why peonies, in particular, have so many ants, especially the buds. Does anyone know if the ants help them bloom? Love the pictures of the roses too. That third rose is a gorgeous color. Did your brother happen to mention the name of the roses? My favorite flower at our house this year are the hydrangeas. They were exceptionally pretty and colorful this year due to lots of rain at the right time. They last in a vase for quite awhile. But like you, Ellie, with the peonies, they are done, and I hate to see them go.
Ellie
Yes, I would also like to know why they have so many ants. My brother didn’t know the name, but it would be interesting to find out. I had no idea that there were so many different colors of roses!
