Well it’s safe to say that this Thanksgiving is one for the books, but not in a good way. Mr. Handsome and I were both sick with a bad case of the flu before the holiday even began, and our kids got it, too. The flu “flew” through everyone who had attended a pre-Thanksgiving gathering, and our official Thanksgiving dinner was canceled, as was another family event. Even though things didn’t exactly go as planned, we still have a lot to be thankful for.
How did our U.S. readers celebrate Thanksgiving this year?
Yikes! Hopefully, you all got the flu shot, especially since it’s highly recommended for pregnant women, children, and healthcare workers.
It sounds like maybe someone was sick and didn’t want to miss out on anything and didn’t let anyone know. Working with the public, I see it happening quite a bit. But, I’m glad ya’ll are ok. All of my kids and grandchild were able to come and stay for a week. Some of them I only get to see once a yr.
Same…whole family got sick and we’re still recovering. It’s not fun being sick and having to take care of sick kids but like you said, we still have so much to be thankful for.
I’m sorry to hear that, Anne! Hope you all recover soon!
We had a quiet Thanksgiving with all the trimmings. We have a lot to be thankful for, each other, family.friends and caring and helpful neighbors. Sorry you all were sick. Hope you all are feeling better. God Bless.

Sounds lovely. Are you getting ready for the Christmas season?
I don’t recognize anything on that plate, but looks so tasty. What was it?
Thank you! That was my husband’s post-Thanksgiving breakfast (a roll, eggs, and a leftover meat). Forgot to take a picture of our actual Thanksgiving food, LOL.
I thought that was some really bad green bean casserole!
Me too lol
Is everything alright Ellie? Haven’t heard from you in a while.
That’s very sweet of you to ask! Being really sick over thanksgiving really wore me out, so I’m still catching up on sleep. We’re doing well though. Thank you for asking! 🙂
