My in-laws have a Jacuzzi tub. It’s glorious. Sometimes when we’re over there, I sneak into their master bedroom and have a relaxing soak.
During one particular visit, I happened to be home alone for a couple hours. Not sure how that happens in such a large family, but somehow it did. Anyways, I decided to take a bubble bath, so I looked up a homemade bubble bath recipe online.
The bubbles weren’t huge, but they did the job. Here’s the recipe I used:
Homemade Bubble Bath
1/4 cup liquid Castile soap
1 egg
Several drops lavender essential oil (if Castile soap is unscented)
I was in a rush, so I didn’t mix the ingredients together ahead of time. That was a huge mistake, as the hot water cooked the egg! You will definitely want to mix everything together before pouring it into the bath. It works best if you pour the solution right under the water spout while the bath is still filling.
Do you enjoy bubble baths? Have you ever made your own bubble bath soap? I have seen several different recipes online. Some contain honey, while others call for vegetable glycerin. I’ll have to try another variation next time I’m at my in-laws’ house. 🙂
