Hope you’re having a wonderful week. These past 14 days have been extremely busy for us, and I apologize for the lack of blog posts. Mr. Handsome and I recently celebrated our three-year wedding anniversary. I don’t mean to sound cliche, but these three years have flown by. It truly does feel like only yesterday we were saying our vows and jetting off on our honeymoon.
Our Hawaii trip was our three-year celebration, but we wanted to do something fun on the actual day, as well. I know that an anniversary is much more than just a day, but I like the idea of keeping the day special. Our Bible study was meeting on the day of our anniversary, and we considered attending, but we ended up deciding to spend the evening just the two of us. And that was a great decision!
We dressed up in fancy clothes and went out to a steak restaurant. The meal was magnificent, and the dessert (a fancy banana cake) was delectable. When the server found out it was our anniversary, he brought us our dessert on a plate decorated with melted chocolate.
When we returned home, we used our tripod to take our annual anniversary picture. (It only took about 98,394 tries.) At this point, it’s a picture of us holding a picture of us holding a picture of us holding a picture of us on our wedding day. (Did I get that right?) I can’t wait to see what it looks like when we’re 80. I’m sure the original picture won’t be recognizable. If you’re wanting to borrow the idea, I recommend using an 8×10 framed picture each year. We started with a 5×7, but I wish we had gone bigger.
