Christmastime is here! Mr. Handsome and I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. What’s on your schedule for this weekend? How are you celebrating? We are having a quiet Christmas at home. It’s gorgeous outside, and the weather report is calling for highs in the 60s and 70s for the next week. Not exactly the most “Christmassy” weather, but it’s lovely, nonetheless.
Stacey
We are having a covid Christmas unfortunately. It stinks!
Ellie
I’m sorry to hear that, Stacey. Hope you feel better soon.
Stacey
Thanks! And my little guy just came down with hand, foot, mouth. At least it seems to be a mild case. Guess everything could always be worse. Hope your Christmas was great!
Ellie
Oh no! Sorry to hear that! Hope he recovers quickly.

We canceled plans to have family here because that’s too much travel and too much exposure when Omicron is rampant. We’re all triple inoculated but the chances are still too great for us. Actually enjoying the “down” time and no pressure. The house is clean, have stacks and stacks of books to read, the sunshine is marvelous, and the pets are keeping us hopping. Isn’t your baby due soon? Is that why you stayed home?
Ellie
I agree that a low key holiday is nice every once in a while. Sounds like you’re having a great time. As far as the baby’s due date goes, there should be an announcement coming very soon! 🙂

I also agree that a low key holiday is nice once and a while. I hope you tell us all about your baby boy’s birth. I so enjoy hearing about Little Buddy’s birth.

Merry Christmas from my house to yours! There was just my 3 daughters, my brother and myself, and we grilled. One son wasn’t able to get leave, and the other had 13 in-laws fly in for Christmas.
Ellie
Merry Christmas! What did you grill?
Anonymous
Steak. Had salad and baked potatoes. Brownie trifle and caramel cake for dessert.
Ellie
Sounds delicious!
Gabrielle!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
We traveled to both sides of the family! And had a wonderful Christmas! We had a nice Christmas eve in the 40s in Wisconsin, Today wasn’t as nice (weather wise)! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Ellie
Merry Christmas, Gabrielle!

Our daughter who lives out of state was got home late afternoon Friday (her first flight cancelled that morning and had to rebook). We celebrated three consecutive days, my husband and I with our adult children on Christmas Eve, my husband and I and the kids with my sister on Christmas Day, and on the 26th with my husband’s family consisting of my brother-in-law, sister-in-law, their adult children and their spouses, and their three grandchildren. Our daughter has been flying home for four years now and she had by far the worst problems. Her return flight late Monday was supposed to leave at 10:45 p.m. and didn’t leave until 2:30 a.m. Central Time and got back to her house at 3:30 a.m. Mountain Time. She flew Delta but had a regional jet operated by Sky West was used to get home.
Ellie
Sounds like you had a really great weekend, but sorry to hear that your daughter had such trouble with her flights!
